The VENDING MACHINE BUSINESS, A GREAT OPPORTUNITY
|
The vending machines are in operation 24/7/365. They never
complain, get sick, quit or walk off the job. They do however
crunch in the cash without fail. No accounts receivable or any
other collections issues. If you don’t like the amount of sales
you are getting from a vending machine and feel the account is
loosing you money, well, that’s very simple you just move the
machine to a new and better site. You will never have to close
your doors and go out of business.
Profit margins are excellent and there are few industries in
this world that has the Return on Investment that the vending
industry has. The great thing about it is that you can grow the
business to any size you wish, perhaps do it part time for extra
income or full time and make more than you have ever made at
your job.
There is no need for any warehouse or fancy office space. No
advertising necessary or complicated computer software programs.
There are incredible tax breaks and tax deductions including
most of the company expenses. Check with your CPA to see how you
may benefit from the tax laws and other benefits based on your
situation and tax bracket.
Having your own vending business means that you set your own
hours and schedules and are your own boss. As long as you keep
your machines full, clean and working you are in business. Great
service is KEY in this business and of utmost importance; great
service is what will set you apart from most of your
competitors. With great service comes great referrals and that’s
the name of the game in any business.
If you are not afraid of knocking doors and soliciting new
business then you are one of the lucky ones who will not have to
depend on a locating service to do that for you. You can usually
start with friends and family and business associates. Check out
where they work and ask about there vending service. If they are
not happy suggest that they give you the contacts name and you
can offer to submit a no obligation proposal of what you are
able to offer. Before you know it you are landing some great
accounts. If on the other hand you are not the type to go
knocking doors, you can always hire a locating company to make
the calls to set appointments and get your foot in the door, but
at some point you will need to go in and make the sales pitch.
There is no replacement for looking at someone eyeball to
eyeball and building that very important thing called Rapport.
It is great rapport and excellent service that will help you
keep your account indefinitely. Keeping accounts is a key to
your success.
A Note Regarding Locating Companies.
Beware of those companies who try to do it all for you.
Soliciting the new locations and selling you the vending
equipment and trying to make it all so easy. You never know what
they said to get you in the door and you will have to live with
whatever promises and expectations they left with the decision
maker. These companies selling you the equipment and the
companies they hire to get the accounts are not the ones who
will have to live with those customers. Once they sell you the
equipment they don’t care much what happens from there. If they
can just have the locators set appointments and get your foot in
the door so you can do the rest that would be the best way to go
about it. This is a people business; if you are not a people
person then this may not be the business for you.
